Head of HGGT HIG Programme Delivery

Thank you for your interest in the position of Head of Harlow & Gilston Garden Town (HGGT) Housing Investment Grant (HiG) Programme Delivery at Hertfordshire County Council. This is a very exciting time to be joining the Council as we deliver our Corporate Plan and focus on growth and infrastructure within the County.

Hertfordshire County Council is the lead authority for the delivery of the £172m HGGT Housing Investment Grant from Homes England and the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. (MHCLG). This role takes the lead for the delivery phase of the project, working with the partners across councils, the Garden Town and with the master developer to ensure timely and successful delivery of this critical programme of infrastructure. 

Based within Environment and Infrastructure and reporting to the AD Growth and Place you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the County Council’s contract with Homes England and the back to back contracts with the delivery partners so that the infrastructure is delivered on budget and to timetable.

We are seeking a candidate with relevant post-qualification experience, who has a thorough understanding of the issues and opportunities associated with infrastructure delivery. Drawing on a strong track record, we are looking for a candidate who also has significant experience of complex capital programmes and of working with stakeholders and elected members.
